Which of the two do you think will win more trophies this year? Looking at who the clubs have to face i think its looking better for tottenham, especially in the carling cup... And people may see this as a non trophy, but if spurs won that and arsenal won nothing, that would make spurs more successful, Right?

I see what you're getting at!

I'll be the first person to actually answer your question!

Premiership:

Arsenal aren't going to win it, neither are Spurs!

FA Cup:

Spurs have beaten Chelsea this season and Arsenal have beaten Man Utd. Spurs have also lost to Reading and Arsenal lost to Fulham! All this shows is that both teams can beat or be beaten by anyone on there day!

It all depends on the draw!

Arsenal are away to liverpool, Spurs are away to Cardiff.

Although Spurs' away form has been dire so far this season, you'd have to admit that they have the "easier" task of getting through to the next round!

The Carling Cup:

Same argument as above really:

Spurs are at home to Southend, Arsenal are away to Liverpool again!

So again, you'd have to say Spurs have a better chance than Arsenal.

Europe:

The clubs are in different competitions.

Arsenal got to the final last year but haven't been playing as well this time around. With teams like Chelsea, Man Utd and Barca on form I don't think they'll get there again BUT I wouldn't right them off.

As for Spurs, 100% record in the group stages so far is impressive! If they beat Dynamo tomorrow (at home too) they'll be top of the group and have an easier task of progressing!

All in all I'd have to say that Spurs, again, have a slightly better chance of winning there European cup (ie UEFA) than Arsenal (Champs league)

So.... Spurs! but they're not guaranteed siverware by any stretch of the imagination!

Thoughts?

Honest opinion - I don't think either team will win any trophies this season. Arsenal should finish 4th & Spurs 5th or 6th.

If Spurs won the carling cup & Arsenal finished 5th then I would say Spurs have done better.

However, if Arsenal finished 4th then that would be a bigger achievement for next season as they would have a lot more money & be able to keep their big players. As for decades to come the history books would show that Spurs would have won a trophy in the 2006/07 season , whereas Arsenal would have won nothing.

Lennon & Berbatov are quality players.

Mr Sporty is pretty accurate!

arseholes aren't up to scratch at the moment, and for some reason even when they have a great team(hate to say it!!),they never seem to do so well in Europe..lose too many finals...,maybe cos the french have no bottle!!

so i believe Spurs will win more...at least 1 if not 2 of the cups...league position is only important for 2 reason...1 if you win it...2 in financial terms because of the money you get from UEFA if you qualify for the champions league proper(£10,million!)

i would rather win the carling cup and put a trophy in the cabinet and have a great day out at the Millenium stadium, than even finish 2nd in the league!!!
1st place is everything in any competition...no matter how big or small!!

so to answer the question if Spurs win any trophy and arseholes dont...then it means we have had a more successful season!!

incidentally...last year Spurs ended up with an operating income of £36.6million...2nd in Uk only to Man U....Arseholes was £31.5million....so even though they got the champions league spot...we have more cash to play with anyway!!

and if we win trophies, particularly UEFA and arseholes win nothing...then we will probably make more money!!

PS.

shame to hear that Thierry Henry will be out until after the new year!! really gutted about that...(ha,ha,ha!)

Even though Tottenham have a better European record and an excellent young team, recently Arsenal have more potential to win the trophies. So I have to say Arsenal.

There is just no comparison. Totenham is a class or two below Arsenal. Arsenals will win the important trophys and leave Totenham fighting for trophys that none of the big teams are interested in like the Carling cup.

I cannot stand Spurs!!
And to even compare Splurrrs to the Arsenal is a joke.
Even though Arsenal are on a bit of a low at the moment, Splurrs are STILL a million miles away from them.

WAKE UP!!
