My stay at home wife provides a much better life for our family. This was her choice and we can live quite well on my income.
This is a no brainer if you are talking about what is best for the kids. It is tough but rewarding. It also requires the patrneship of the husband to do his part and to also make sure his wife knows how appreciated she is and her work is valued and important. She also needs to be romanced as a wife and have good girlfriend time. If you can manage this there is balance and happyness in the house.

My husband and I are going to try our best to enable me to be a stay at home mom. We are very much in love and I would love to stay home to raise our children and take care of my whole family.

When both parents work, when they get home after an exhausting day, guess what is waiting? Dinner to be cooked, Laundry, dishes, homework to be done, etc. Most of the evening is spent doing these things and trying to find some time with the kids.

When I stay at home, I will do all those things. Then when my husband comes home dinner will be ready and I will have helped the kids with their homework. After we eat all the rest of the evening will be family time, and when the kids go to bed it will be US time.

It just makes life easier for all involved. For a FAMILY, a stay at home mom is best. It really isn't just for the rich- many families do it on 30-40K a year. By the time you consider the $ childcare, gas, and a working wardrobe costs, some moms aren't making that much money anyway! They save $ because they can make a home cooked meal instead of picking up takeout on the way home because they are SOO tired. Convenience foods cost more.

OF course, this choice has to be made by each family, but in my humble opinion, a mom at home is best.

Whatever is best for the family, you can not say what is best for every family with one answer. If you are able to stay home and raise the children by all means do it. However, many within society do not have this as a choice. And many do not want to stay home, many women enjoy being out in the workforce. It is all really a matter of personal and individual choice. Good luck and God bless****

I prefer the house wife.It is the hardest job I have ever had.And I have ran whole companies before.Yet staying at home is sometimes harder to deal with. You will probably get a lot of people telling you working women are better.Because some people think that it is more important to have a career than take proper care of their families. For our family it works out best.I take care of our son, home, home school our son and just basically do everything other than collect a paycheck and we are all happy.I personally miss the old fashioned stay home moms we used to have. And I am glad I can give my son the sense of security he gets from knowing someone is here for him.Not across town behind some desk.

That all depends on the woman some just cant stand having to be at home all day with children. It is harder than you might think. Also it would depend on the family income. Each family has to figure this one out on what is best for them. It is not always the same answer.

the answer is a stay at home mum ideally to many kids are missing out on emotional and moral guidance because they are being brought up by minders or after-school care I'm not giving working mums a hard time sometimes having to work is unavoidable its just a shame kids miss out in the long run the most precious thing you can give your child is time love attention all the money or gifts in the world just does not compensate

Depends on the woman and the family. However, the fact is that the economy today is based on two income families, and it would be sad to make anyone stay at home when they could be doing something professional with their lives...
