I think so. My Step-Dad betrayed me by sexually abusing me. I would kill him.

But then I'm an atheist.

If I were a believer, I would say murder was wrong in all situations.

no...why betrayal?...there are many reasons im sure that someone could use to justify murder as a behaviour...i dont think betrayal is any better reason than any other...betrayal is in the eye of the beholder as is everything else...

Personally i don't think that there is any acceptable reason for murder.
What right does anyone have to take another life?

Courts aside being that they are all unjust

Depends on what the betrayal is.....war/peace, breaking ones trust you gave them, taking advantage of innocence the one you thought loved you, a traitor, (date rape and child molesting by one you trusted yes very much so acceptable)

Sure some are acceptable

The French courts accept the defense of Crime of passion, whereby if the perpetrator discovered their partner in bed with someone and they then killed them, the perpetrator can be seen to have been in a state of temporary insanity and they get a much reduced scentence. Pre-meditated revenge killing would never be seen as acceptable.

No. There are no reasons that justify murder. But any reason can be used to justify the act in the mind of a murderer.

Short answer: no

They are going to kill you and there is no way out of it except to kill them. No acceptable reason other than self defence.
