Have you considered that this behavior might be post traumatic stress disorder? He needs to be seen and get treatment right away . These things dont go away by themselves and it might be better if you stay away from him while he is getting treatment as he might hurt you not meaning to . Please make sure he gets treatment. good luck and god bless and happy holidays.

Many of our friends and neighbors go thru things at war that we do not / can not know about or understand. His experiences may have changed his actions but it is unlikely that they have changed his feelings about you. SIT DOWN and talk about how you feel. Don't try to get him to talk about anythins he is uncomfortable with. That will take TIME. If necessary the corps will provide counselling for him. They might want you to go with him... and you should go. Keep himand all of our troops in your thoughts and prayers. They deserve our full support for being there in our place. You should begin a BIBLE STUDY with him at a nearby Church. If that is not possible, begin reading the New Testament. The holiday season is a Great Time to begin such a study. Have a wonderful holiday. I hope that you are able to help him "Come Back Home To YOU"!!

treat him the way you did before he went to Iraq. Maybe it'll all come back eventually. Try to be patient after all, we really dont know what it was like to be there. It had to be awful. Suggest counseling after awhile if he cant cheer up.

Decide if you want to support him (cos being in a situation like he's been in, changes a person) or dump him and move on...

Though by the sounds of it, if you dumped him, there could be problems...
