white---on the panties sounds like a monilla yeast infection. You need to seek out an OB/GYN and get medicine for this. It's the bodies way of reacting to the infection.. This kind of yeast infection also itches like crazy. If the white turns in to a funky odor smelling greenish look you have contracted another yeast infection that doses of Flagyl will get rid of. It's also transmitted from one person to the other.
Candida, which is a type of yeast or fungus, is normally found in the body. When your body is in balance it usually causes no problems. When the internal environment is out of balance from stress or fatigue, the yeast can over grow. Symptoms include:

thick, white, odorless vaginal discharge (described as resembling cottage cheese).
vaginal itching and burning.
pain or discomfort with urination or sexual intercourse.
vulvular redness or irritation.

About 80 percent of yeast infections are caused by a specific species of Candida, called Candida albicans. The remaining twenty percent of yeast infections are caused by other types of Candida. These infections may require treatment with special medications that are different from the usual treatment. While yeast infections are not usually considered sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), they can still be transmitted sexually -- so we have also included them in the STD section. Try to avoid intercourse until you have completed treatment and the symptoms have subsided.

Several people have expressed the opinion that there is something wrong with a white discharge. This is usually NOT true. The normal discharge that comes from the vagina during the month when a girl is not menstruating is sometimes clear, sometimes white--or sometimes even yellowish. It is, as other answerers have said, just the normal way the vagina cleans itself. The normal texture can range from thin and stringy to thick and even a little clumpy.

However, if the discharge is extremely stinky or has a texture like cottage cheese, it *could* be a yeast infection. This is usually accompanied by pain and itching.

To avoid having the normal discharge end up in your panties and not wear pads, you could try wiping really well when you use the toilet, including wiping a little bit into the vagina (do this with a second piece of toilet paper after you wipe away your waste--do NOT EVER put a dirty piece of toilet paper into your vagina. Don't stick it all the way up inside, just wipe inside a little way, where you can reach without sticking your finger inside of you. This will wipe away any discharge that may have dripped to the outside while you were sitting on the toilet.

Personally, I don't recommend wearing a panty liner every day unless you have a real problem with it being wet because the liners don't allow your body to breathe properly and can actual be a contributing factor towards yeast infections.

Someone else recommended baby powder. This will not absorb the normal discharge, it will only absorb sweat... or if it did absorb the discharge, it would probably just turn it into a nasty glue-like substance. Further, if you do decide to try baby powder, make sure you buy the kind that is cornstarch ONLY and does NOT include talc. Talc is a potential cause of cervical cancer if it gets up inside you, which it can do just by being in the area of your vagina.

Um Vaginas do this a a way of cleaning themselves, It is just part of being a girl. Use panty shields and it is usually just for a few days out of the month anyway.

Are you being funny? The "White", you speak of is Yeast...and yes there are homeopathic remedies to treat yeast infection, the best method however is preventative...wear panties with a cotton crotch, eat plenty of yogurt, and drink plenty of water, be careful with douching,(too much causes infection), and have only one partner....

Well, it can't really be avoided. If its just a discharge, its normal and there is no way to get rid of it. I don't like having it daily but I just use pantyliners, baby powder and feminine wipes at all times. If it follows with symptoms of itching, etc..then you should see your doctor right away to get checked up.

WHAT? I have never had anything white in my panties.. Sounds like you need to see a GYN because that is NOT normal! Maybe to much sex and not cleaning yourself often enough down there. (dooooosh it)
