im a child minder and ever since ive started looking after a child at my house ive started to think it's haunted! things happend before like "smelling roses, lights turning on and off, tv turning off on its own". the 2 yr old i look after talks to someone in the bedroom when he is having a nap, gets the giggles like someone is making him laugh. I have a dog that looks really hard at one part of the living room like she can see something and the child points to the same spot. Do you think im just over reacting or could this be a haunted house. I have lived here 3 yrs and most of the time i alone as my hubby is working away for 6 mths. There doesnt seem to be a bad feeling in the house, if anything it's the oppisit

either the little one brings their 'friend' who stays in one place,
or you have an angel in residence.
either way there is nothing to worry about.

Interesting. No, I don't think so. I haven't noticed anything odd or unusual. I did spend a lot of time in this Victorian house that was built in 1860 and saw/heard quite a few odd things. At night, sometimes it seemed like the house came alive. We heard what sounded like people moving luggage up and down the stairs. The bedroom door all of a sudden just opened slowly like someone was coming in. Apparently the people that owned the house before had been known to leave during the night afraid. I was sitting at the top of one of the staircases and I felt like a cat was walking behind me, close but not touching. No. The only cat in the house was in the bathroom quite a distance away eating. I could see him. It could not have been him. He's fast but not that fast. My boyfriend's father thought he let the cat out but he didn't. He saw the cat a few minutes later. He was like, what cat did I let out? There is only one cat. Nothing really scarey happened. We just said, well that was strange when weird things happened. I had spent a few nights in the house by myself with the cat.

it sounds like you have an entity in your house and if the child is giggling, then take that as a good sign, the same goes for the dog, if the entity was evil, the dog would growl and bark alot and the child wouldn't want to go into the room were the entity was. and if you can sense only good feelings, then, to me, it sounds like you may have a sixth sense, if you have, it could be a latent one that you need to work on and as for the child you babysit for, i don't think that there's any need to worry just yet, all children have more of a sixth sense that adults, as do animals. because children are classed as pure, (never sinned), they are able to see and sense things in this world that most adults tend to forget about most times, but some adults are still aware and develop there gifts to try and help others. as for the entity in your house, it could be any good entity, like a friendly ghost or an angel, it may be the child's gaudian angel, but i don't know, as long as the child is happy, then i wouldn't worry, u could always try and find out what he sees by asking him who he talks to and who makes him laugh, eventually he'll tell you, but make sure he knows that you are ok with anything he tells you.

Hmm is it the house or the Child thats haunted. Either way it not something to worry about. The dog would let you know if there was something to worry about. To me it sound like the child has a guardian and it if it wasnt happy with the way you looked after the child you would soon no about it. Children are know to see things like ghost and such like. Before adults tell that they are being silly. If he is giggling why worry about it childs laughter is one of the best sounds in the world.

No your house is not haunted. Ghosts do not exist.
You have an over active imagination. Stop thinking this way before you make yourself sick with worry or some shyster tries to take a wedge of money of you to excoricise your spirits.
Instead of listening to con men who have TV programmes try searching sceptical sites which show how they get away with this nonsense.

Its possible, but if there are no bad feelings in your home I would have suggested 'haunted' is the wrong term as it has negative connotations. As long as nothing untoward starts happening you should probably just accept it as one of those strange things that make the world such an interesting place.

maybe not haunted, just spirits living there that are trying to communicate and are having trouble crossing over into eternal life. get a priest or minister to come and bless the house and free the spirit.

if its not really bothering you, you can possibly get someone in who might beable to help you communicate to the spirit and find out who it is.

it may be a past relative coming to keep you company while your hubby is away

No its not 'haunted'. As ghosts spirits and such nonsense dont exist I dont see how any building could possibly be haunted. You actually came to a science room to ask if you have a ghost?

I believe spirits are all around us, if it started with the child its probably their guardian, one who's looking after them. Besides with their innocence they can "see" as adults we don't bother to look. I've had my own experience, some believe it's just what we create because we need to believe ... whatever it takes, as long as it's good and not evil
