Mental illness is because of our connection to nature. Nature it self is flawed. Thus as humans we will have flaws. Brain Chemistry being one of them.We can;'t disconnect from nature. We are nature and nature is us.

There are many causes of mental illness, and you can't put it down to one cause. .People who live in cities tend to be disconnected from nature, and not all of them have mental illness.

Most of them are chemical imbalances in the brain. As soon as the general population realizes that, the people will seek help rather than try to hide it. We aren't shamed by diabetes (insulin shortage) or cancer (growth factor overload), so why is a seratonin shortage (depression) so stigmatized?
