GO GO music is a style of music that originates from my home town of Washington D.C. It's live urban music and there are many different bands such as the Back Yard Band, Rare Essence, Pleasure, North East Groovers, Chuck Brown, The Junk Yard Band and a lot more.. They play many different instruments such as the Congo's , drums, cow bell, keyboard, etc.

So a Go Go is a place you go to listen to Go Go music mostly in the D.C. metropolitan area.

Go to Wikipedia and type in Go Go music..

I grew up on the stuff so I absolutely love the music.. They are trying to get Go Go music to go nation wide since it's been around for so long. We just had our first annual Go Go music awards here in D.C. It's the most popular music inside the City.

I hope that's what you are talking about. Don't forget to look it up on Wikipedia it has allot of stuff about Go Go music..

Agogo bells are pairs of bells joined by a curved metal rod. They are shaped much longer than a regular cowbell and generally tuned in third.

The Agogo is played with a stick held in the right hand while the left hand hold the instrument and can also squeeze the two bells togheter producing a "chick" sound.

The sound can be controlled by the left hand by positioning the thumb and finger toward the mouth of the bells (open/close).

The stick can be made by metal or wood
