Or do I have a better chance of dating an N.F.L. cheerleader?

Why not? Desmond Howard won the Super Bowl MVP with the Pack. Devon Hester is surely making a run at it.

You have a better chance of dating a cheerleader. What Special Teams player DESERVES to be MVP though? Let me guess you are a Bears fan and want to see Hester or something like that? See a special team player is a KICKER or PUNTER. Hard to show that either of those positions are the MVP of the LEAGUE. As to Hester, some are trying to put him up as the Rookie of the Year. I say BULL that award should go to someone in their POSITION. He is a DEFENDER but not good enough to get it for THAT job.

Every quarterback, running back, and wide receiver in the NFL would have to have mediocre seasons and if that happened they'd definitely look at the defensive players for MVP as a reason why, special teams players can completely change a game with a big play but they don't get many chances to do that, a kicker is just as likely to get MVP consideration as a special teams guy.

Both are possibilities. If a player ran back kickoffs and scored winning touchdowns in every game the team wins, he would qualify as MVP.

Doubtful. Most vital stats they judge players on have to hit a certain minimum to even qualify and special teams just don't get enough plays in.

Maybe, but i doubt anything will come of it...even if hester returns 10 this year he couldn't honestly beat out L.T. but Rookie of the year on the other hand...

Hester may win in a given year, but not as long as Tomlinson is still playing.
