They dont have to do that....its wrong ,,kinda tradition for many countries...Not interested in Islam...
I am muslim and I walk with my wife hand to hand....

they don't. Actually in a lot of cultures the women walk behind the men so that he is the first to be threatened by any natural threats such as snakes or wild animals. It is out of respect for her that she walks behind him.

That's absolute nonsense.
None of our family does that and never came across such a stupid rule.
It is certainly not in Islam for sure being grown up in a Muslim country. Never ever heard such absurdity.

Women are inferior to men by nature,so maybe walking faraway from the men shows how superior the men are,that's the tradition.
