If you did, how did you find it? Do you recommend any?

I read only his "The Cairo Trilogy" since I've known he's the only one Nobel Prize winner in literature in the Arab world before he passed away a few months ago. I didn't mean to buy it (a hardcover in the Everyman's Library series) to read but it's an enjoyable, readable and understandable translated English version by a team of four scholars.
Find one and read it, it helped me understand more on Muslim ways of life.

Yes. I have read two or three of Mahfouz's works. I especially liked Midaq Alley.

I read Midaq Alley, and I would definitely recommend it.
