Yahoo messenger offers a service where you can send texts to other people's phones... Only works with certain providers though. And no, i'm not talking about having the messenger on their phone either. As long as you've put their cell number in the contact info you can do it.

If you're trying to text Smart/Globe/Sun mobiles, you can either figure out their carrier and send via email, or use Chikka. Txting using Y!M is pretty much relegated to US cellular carriers. I've tried txting a Smart user using Y!M and the msg gets bounced.

on your wireless providers web site you can do it, i do it all the time wit tmobile
