I just saw the Simpsons episode were Bart gets an elephant..... now I want an elephant real bad so we can stomp stuff while I ride on it!
I'm gonna have to potty train it though.......eh.. I'll figure that out later.

Last year. I tripped on a cuddly elephant that my son had left by his bed, fell over and smacked my head on the bedpost. I had two days off work with concussion.

I felt sorry for the ones I saw chained up in Copenhagen zoo last year, doing repetitive movements from stress.
But I'm not sure it influenced my life other than confirming the idea that zoo's are cruel.

When I was about 5. My nan used to tell us to look out for pink elephants on long car journeys. Oh and thanks for letting me know about that naff song thing. I felt a bit silly but compared to the other answers I had no choice!
