It depends on who you ask. So far, globalization has been a giant boondoggle for the international corporations who have raped, sacked and pillaged the planet, its resources human and material, and are busy undermining nations along the way. Because they are international, and no governing body is there to check their influence, they seem to be able to do most anything without consequence. This seems to be a natural evolution of business and technology, so short of a shock like h5n1, or some other planetary shock, there is no reason to suspect this will do anything but grow in wealth and power. If we do not grow a governing institution to balance the power of this trend, there is no telling what damage may follow. With their lack of loyalty to country, or honor, they pursue the lowest wages round the planet to maximize their profits, causing great disorder in developed countries with higher wages and standards of living, while raising wages, at least temporarily, in the countries they pick to build in. I fear they will succeed in concentrating more and more wealth in the hands of the few, while turning the rest of us into an international wage slave market. This will balance somewhat the disparity of the richest and poorest countries, but at what cost? Are we just going to return to the days of old where there were a few Caesars, more nobles, and the vast majority of people are just living in serfdom?
Mankind worked very hard to rise out of that paradigm.

Although India will be a bit hard to swallow this time,The whole scheme of this Globalisation and New World order has been pushed by Neo Cons and Secret Societies Like Illuminati off which Skull and Bones is an offshoot in addition to that there is Salvation Army,Brotherhood of Masons,Jehovah witness and many more. You will be surprised that most of the High Positions in United States Government are Held by members of Skull and Bones.Last 3 President including the present one are BONES MEN as the members are called. And of course all the Big Corporations are infested by them.
Of course there are secret societies are there in India but their Primary agenda is based on Religion and not on Economics. What you gain by mowing down a masjid probably peace of mind but these people do not work like that they want to be the absolute rulers of this world by manipulation.By any means possible Compassion Love War Covert operations to name a few.
I am sure in India the first one to fall in trap will be Bania's and then our Gangster Politicians the only thing they are looking for is a buck.YOU MUST STOP EAST INDIA COMPANY FROM COMING BACK ALTHOUGH IT IS ALREADY HALF WAY IN THE DOOR.Globalisation is an ANGLO AMERICAN ALLIANCE AGENDA IN WHICH JEWS ARE ALSO ENTANGLED.BEWARE AND DO NOT FIGHT ON STUPID THINGS UNDERSTAND AND ALWAYS LEARN INTERNATIONAL POLITICS.There is absolutely no advantage if you feel there is then it is an optical illusion.Just keep them away and learn how to live in peace and Harmony among yourself and don't fall into any trap.
Sir you read my thought ,and if you like it try to preach the message to those who do not have Internet. Thanks

Disadvantage: 1- international rules over our constitution and other nations's contittutions. That would be the war for freedom or war for democracy we see today all at expense of our population. 2- we will be, as we are doing today, bailing out a lot of foreign financial businesses overseas, that do not pay neither constribute a dime to our nation. 3- international regulatory agencies manipulating the markets and establishing a kind of socialism, selecting who is going to fail today to help someone else they decide tomorrow, like picking winners and lossers. 4- Terrible for the currency markets 5- Terrible for competition

It depends...globalization and a free markety can lessen the chances of war between nations...think about it, "why would you want to fight someone you're doing business with." It can also be good, because it allows free trade. Some disadvantages could be that it leads to a "clash of civilizations" (Huntington), and that people from third world nations could become exploited.

advantages of globalization can be: multiculturalism (people can gain wide knowledge than monoculturalism which is too limited and ingrown. Also it is livelier, richer and more fun.
disadvantages of globalization:
While some placed are wired for international transmission, others (think of North Korea or Burma) remain as isolated as ever, widening the gap between the haves and the have-not, or what is called fast and the slow worlds.

I think the biggest advantage is that it allows everyone to use common standards. The biggest disadvantage is the risk of the world as a whole becoming susceptible to rule by a tyrant.

Comparative advantages of production can be spread to other places from a given place thereby benefitting the giver and the receiver of the goods and services! For example, the Indian software and the Chinese hardware when combined can put them on top of the computer world!

Deserving, low priced products will attract market and the purchasing power in middle income group is increasing day by day. Some of the industries will flurish and some will put big locks..At certain areas skilled labour shortage will be noticed and in some areas unemployment will be seen.
But, if the tax laibility to the consumer will be same all over the world, good products will have competitive price with proper quality maintenance.
