Yes we can use the computer without the mouse.
There are two method
1. First one is by using the shortcut keys we can perform the work of mouse, the shortcut key combination can be find from search engines.
2.You can use the number pad on keyboad as mouse. For this go to Start-> setting-> Control panel-> Accessibility option->
A dialog box appers click on mouse tab and check the check box "use mouse keys, clicks on OK , Now u can use the number pad as mouse. the nu. 4 is used for left 6 for right, 8 for up and 2 for down. You can use 5 for click.

like other users have alredy stated it is possibly to generally browse the computer without a mouse. anyways whats the problem with your mouse. remember you can configure keyboard keys 2, 4, 6, 8 to act as your directional mouse.most programmers prefer to use the keyboard as it enhances speed and there are some functions that you really cant do without a mouse.

Well you can do that with you keyboard, but some programs really require the use of mouse, like the MS Paint. You can do that by using Ctrl, Alt, Tab, Space bar, Home, End, Page up, Page down, & arrow keys. But somehow, you can't browse the internet properly because you have to use Tab & shift+Tab all the time & it can't always be useful, depending on the webpage (if it has embeded flash, frames, etc.).

Yes i can operate without a mouse by using tab keys & control but after getting used with mouse,it so easy & comfortable then before.

It is possible . You can use Ctrl,Alt,Shift,tab , Ins keys to perform a lot of functions . But many of the Graphical Interface Programs on Windows ( and also many on Linux or Solaris) require working with mouse as you have to scroll and click a lot .

yes i can do that...the last time my mouse went bad i had no option than to work with the keyboard till the new mouse arrived..for the first time in life i learnt wht keyboard is capable of hehe..it was fun n nice learning experience........i kept on doing mistakes and found the solutions myself by pressing different keys to see wht happens.....

u can,but u will not be that much comfortable before u was.if there are 20 links in the page,u want to go to some link that is of 15,u should press tab 15 times,if ur passed the 15th link press shift+tab to back.u did not ask but i want to tell,we can work without keyboard by installing monitor keyboard by OS cd
