Well, we celebrate the fact that God impregnated this woman, not sure when but we just pretended it was on this date. Not that we believe in it. This bloke who wears a red suit and laughs alot makes these toys, flies through the air all around the world on a sled of deer and gives the toys to Children who wrote him a letter, although we don't believe that either.

What we actually do is put ourselves in debt to pay for things for other people that will be out of date in a few months if they were even wanted in the first place, we all get extremely drunk all the time, eat far too much and regret it all the rest of the year. We put up with relatives we can't stand and worry about what is going to be the most popular record that week. We watch dreadful films that we wouldn't dream of going to the cinema for and reruns of a Sitcom that is well past its sell-by date!

Still it is Christmas after all!

Christmas is no longer based on christianity, but consumerism.

So why do we still do it, because were told to go out and buy, each advert on television, tells us what we, little timmy, or suzy wants and needs for christmas.

Its all fueled by our desire to be better than someone else, so we have to get a bigger better present than the next.

2 days after christmas, most of the tat is broken and makes its way to the bin, what an expensive waste of time.
