Whilst it is undoubtedly true that Kennedy had affairs with actresses other than Marilyn Monroe, it is certainly untrue that she was an one-night stand or that the relationship lasted only a year.

It has been well-documented, in my own biography as well as in others, that the affair dates back to when JFK for running for the US Senate and needed bright and beautiful people to help to promote his campaign.

That MM took the affair seriously and allowed herself to become pregnant is a mere testimony to the very human trait of self-deceit.

The BBC has recently aired a programme about John Kennedy`s women. This is a show which I missed; not intentionally but even had I wanted to view I would have probably known as much as if not more than the documentary proposed.

The interesting question for me is: Is MM a Greek tragedy and was she herself the (illegitimate) daughter of Joseph Kennedy, who bought RKO in 1926 (the year MM was born) where MM`s mother, Gladys, worked as a cutter

John Kennedy was assassinated; Marilyn may have taken her own life (mystery surrounds it). MM had great stage presence, which implies a certain depth of personality. Laurence 0livier said that she pushed him into the background through her high-wattage personality. Joe DeMaggio, to whom she was married, sometimes resented that, and he was displeased by her ballooning skirt in "The Seven Year Itch." Arthur Miller must have found her fascinating. I have no idea whether there is any truth in the rumor that JFK handed her over to RFK. She attracted a diversity of distinguished men and has some claim to being an American version of Greek tragedy. If she was the illegitimate daughter of Joseph K., JFK's relation to her would have been rather like that of Thomas Jefferson to Sally Hemings, who was the illegitimate daughter of his wife's father. When Marlene Dietrich was at the White House for a private meeting, JFK did ask if she had slept with his father in Hollywood, which suggests he was sensitive on the question. (You write very literate English.)

One day Clinton was going to give a speech at an Elementary School. He asked the teacher what the children are studying and she replied that they were learning about Greek Tragedies. So the President decides to talk about Tragedies.

He asks a student, "What would you consider to be a tragedy?"
The kid thinks for awhile and then says, " If a boy is running after a ball into a street and gets run over by a car and dies."
Clinton responds, "No, I don't think that's a tragedy... that's an
accident."

Then Clinton asks another kid to give an example of a tragedy.
The kid says, "If a bus full of kids drives over a cliff and they all
die." This time Clinton says, "I don't think that's a tragedy... I think
that's a great loss."

So again Clinton asks another kid to give an example of a tragedy.

The kid responds, "If you, Hillary, and Al Gore are on Air Force One and it crashes."

"Right!" says Clinton to the kid. "That would be a tragedy... how did you ever know that?"

Quickly, the kid replies, " Because I know it's not an accident and I know it's not a great loss."
