I suspect that somebody works remotely in my computer knowing my I.P. address. Is it possible.

NO! Not with the IP address alone!

(The rest of these people really don't know what they are talking about! I don't mean to be arrogant, but sometimes I feel like I'm the only person in this category on Yahoo answers who does.)

However, with the IP they can scan what ports you have open....looking for weaknesses. Say if you had an inscure FTP Server running on port 21, they could find that and login. But this is unlikely, unless you are running a Server...then you would have to take measures to secure your services.

Spyware, these days, is almost exclusively back connecting. The virus program isn't a server, but a client...it connects back without need to open a Port path locally. They do not need your IP if they already have the spyware running on your computer. This is also because, now that DSL broadband is much more popular, many internet users are behind routers anyways.

So, what I am saying, you have NOTHING to worry about with people knowing your IP. Particularly if you are behind a router. (However, if you use Cable, and have a static IP, you might not want just anybody having it...as you are stuck with the same one.)

What you need to worry about is running a trojan program on your computer that installs a R.A.T., spyware.

Yes. Infact, someone with your I.P. address can take over your computer even while your using it. All of a sudden your computer will start doing things and you have no control over it. You see the mouse curser move and even typing while your not doing it. Someone having your I.P. address is bad news.

Yes they can. Having the proper security and using Very Strong Passwords will almost completely stop this from happening.

I recommend you read this Kim Komando site about making a Very Strong Password.

Next, I recommend you go here and read this site. By the time you finish you will have a very good understanding how to protect your computer.

Yes. You can use a firewall like zonealarm to prevent this, though it is not entirely possible as the person could still bypass this.
