The man has a point and shouldn't be berated for not being very articulate about it. He’s simply trying to say what most of us think more often then ever before. Everything , including multiculturalism has a limit and I believe we’ve reached that limit and its about time we did something to stop the influx of economic migrants. I have no issue with spending money on helping the ones who have chosen to work and live here assimilate and contribute to the economically and socially.
I live in a so called multi culture town with only a handful of indigenous people and I can tell you its far from a fulfilling experience our politicians and left winger hippies tell you it is….if it was they’d all be moving in my area.

Bolts has a point but seems too angry to truly articulate it in the way he probably meant. I agree with you that anyone who takes up home in another country should take the time to learn the language of the land if that is to be their home. My husband is an immigrant, but knows English (as well as German, Spanish, French, etc.). But he wants to take classes to improve his English. When we move back to his country, I will have taken French (the country's second language) so that I can communicate with others. As someone pointed out, it is necessary should you find yourself wandering around alone and unable to communicate. Also, it's common sense.
The first immigrants who made America great, learned the language. This day and age; however, we make it easy for them by supplying instructions and such in their language. Free classes are always offered but none seem interested enough. I don't know who is at fault? The immigrant or the government, who has actually "enabled" them NOT to want to learn the language.
Some countries will not bend over backwards and will require the "immigrant" to their country to learn the language. Otherwise, he/she will not get much service. :)

why dont they f**k of back.
It costs us millions of pounds a year for translators, housing Ect

It enough to make me want to leave my own country!!!
====================================
You forgot to spell-check 'immigrants?'
In which school did you not pay attention?
Now, what you should have asked is:-
"Pissed off by all those immigrants who can't be bothered to learn English, or adjust to our way of life?"
If they want to live the same way as they do in their own country, why don't they f**k off?"
Your further additions should have been:-
It costs us millions of pounds per year for translators/housing (etc.) plus we have virtually had to ban Christmas in case it offends someone.
The last line you almost got right....well done!
Just put the apostrophe into 'It's' and it would be perfect.....why don't you f**k off?

have you ever considered why it is that your government is letting so many immigrants into the UK?
have you ever stopped to think of how the English dispatched their armies all over the world and fought useless wars, raped many women, enslaved many Africans and stole African treasures and riches? And whilst doing all of this did not even bother trying to learn native tongues?
Try and lighten up as these are the consequences of what your forefathers did a long time ago! Do not blame this government for your lack of knowledge!
And besides....who says that this piece of land belongs to anyone in particular...why cant we all just get along wherever we are?
Sounds like to me you don't even know the meaning of this 'Xmas' that you feel you are not allowed to celebrate...forget the pressies and the pretty lights...how about reflecting on the birth of Jesus Christ our saviour? This is definitely not the time to be attacking other religions and races!

good for you for being drug free for 6 months. this can no longer make you sense any more effective yet each and every thing takes position for a reason. I wager your miscarriage befell for a reason too, were you somewhat waiting to be a mom so youthful?? I recommend your miscarriage helped you to comprehend that you had to get sparkling, so perhaps it replaced right into a blessing in cover because you are able to now have your teenage years lower back and go out and luxuriate in existence, graduate, get a job, or maybe visit university. a touch one at this aspect on your existence would have held you lower back from all of that. perhaps you want something else to fill the void on your existence that your miscarriage created. perhaps some pastimes, some female time with your persons, a at the same time as putting out with your boyfriend (once you've one)... also when you're somewhat having difficulty coping with your PTSD you need to attempt speaking on your college counselor or maybe per chance going to the healthcare professional and getting noted a therapist. good luck :)

Gosh who rattled your cage!
Immigrants must learn the main language or lingua franca, of the country they emigrate to.
Not to do so is stupid and could endanger their lives.
I have lived in a foreign country and am now fluent in the main language. I thus can go to the tax office, social security, police, doctor, and the dentist without help.
I have seen in one European country a sign, in the local language,
in a Doctor's surgery which stated, 'If you do not speak our language, please bring someone who does'.
To become British, immigrants MUST speak English. Not to do so means that they cannot contribute fully to society and cannot integrate in any way.
Subsidised English classes must be easily accessible.
It is a fact that in the 21st century, some women live in purdah in England. Is this acceptable?
Immigrants cannot fully adjust to the life in some countries.
For example what Brit could drive like a Spaniard, or whip women with a cane for showing a bit of hair under their scarf as in some Islamic countries. BUT immigrants must respect the ways of life of their chosen country.
Foreigners should not be allowed to participate in national politics or be employed as civil servants in any country.

I'm not particularly pissed off at the immigrants themselves, although I do think they should make some effort to integrate into our society. But I am very displeased with the British Government, who should, imho, require all immigrants to take and pass an examination before they can be accepted as immigrants. Such an exam would include testing the ability to communicate in English (or Welsh!). This is done in many other countries, and appears to work well.

What's wrong with you? Why can't people go there looking for new opportunities in Britain? It's a compliment to the country because people look up to it as a place for greater freedom. I think you should learn some consideration for these people. They are doing extremely hard work just to survive here (well, most of them) and they can't just adjust to something new and foreign in a heartbeat. And who is banning Xmas? Plenty of foreigners celebrate it anyway.
And by the way, Brits came into Africa with their foreign language and culture, and they lived there without even trying to observe our culture. It's hypocritical to say Britain is being invaded by immigrants.

Dude.... As my mum used to say "its not what you say its the way you say it"..... I don't think you will get anyone to agree when your swearing and put your point across that makes you sound racist.
I did see on the news last night about the translators being used to help immigrants etc. One woman had been here 22 years from Pakistan and didn't speak a word, she blamed the translators being used has made the immigrants lazy... total rubbish as didn't use them when she came over 22 years ago, its just being lazy.
I think they should learn the language, same as my friend who has moved to Spain, they are learning the language.... but telling them all to fu*ck off is a bit harsh.
As for anyone correcting your spelling... who cares?

I noticed you said "pounds". Are you an American? If not, I have no answer for you. But if you are, then it is my opinion that immigrants should try to learn the language of the land. And if they have come here through legal channels, then after a while they will learn to speak English fluently. But, it's not only immigrants who live in government housing. Quite a few American born citizens do, as well. And, our country was built by immigrants. I (personally) wouldn't be here if my great grandfather had not come here from France. America, when I was in school back in ancient times, was called the "Melting Pot". All kinds of people from all kinds of ethnic backgrounds make up America.
As far as all this stuff about offending people goes, everybody gets offended by something. If we banned everything that offended someone, there would be nothing left to ban. Everyone, including me, wants things done their way. But we have to be mature enough to accept that there are things that will never be done the way we want. Peace.
