I live in a house with four roommates and one "get's hives" when we turn on the fire place. He's just a little punk though and he only wants to cause trouble. He's out in three and half months though!! Whoopee!! Then there will always be a fire burning.

No not in my house.I grew up with real coal fires.I used to love getting the toasting fork out and doing toast or marshmallow.There is nothing like a real fire.

Alas, I lack a fireplace as well. It would be nice to cuddle up on a couch and just stare at a roaring fire for awhile. Hot buttered Rum in hand...

No. Everytime my husband and I want to make a fire our kids start whining. They feel that it's important that the fireplace stay clean until AFTER Santa comes.

No, the previous owners of my house had the fireplace removed. I wish that I still had one though. And it is 4 AM so I don't know if I would want one burning when I could fall asleep soon.

We gave a gas fire place. It isn't the same as a real log fire place.
