lol... in my country (india) we always "thread" our brows (and yea even any above the lip hairs too)..its just a piece of twine (rather thick) that is twisted and one end held with the beautician's mouth... they move the twisted part over your stray hairs and its removed (literally plucked off)... yea, the pain in this case is prolonged but if u pull ur skin taut, then its kinda pain-free.. u dont have the trouble of getting rashes or being allergic to any sorta wax... and hey its damn cheap to get ur brows done this way(in american currency, like 25 cents)

Its a method used to remove hair using a piece of cotton thread. The thread is twisted and moved in a scissors like motion to remove the hair from the roots.
It provides a better finish than plucking and results last up to 1-3 weeks depending on hair growth.

It's used mostly in India, China and Middle East as a form of hair removal. The procedure uses a cotton thread which is twisted and pulled along the skin surface of unwanted hair, lifting hair directly from the follicle. I've never had it done but wouldn't mind trying it, apparently it doesn't hurt - only a slight pinch is felt, as the procedure doesn't rip your skin off like waxing does.

It's mainly asian women that do it, although alot more girls these days are having it done.
It lasts longer than plucking, and usually the ladies that do it are really good and get the shape perfect everytime.
It hurts as much as plucking (which isn't much) and usually only costs about £3-£5.
I really recommend it!

the lady wraps/ties a piece of regular thread around her fingers to make a makeshift cutting/plucking device. it pulls and plucks smaller hairs out.
