depends how long ago the sex was. you can take it before the missed period, but don't expect a strong result, or even one at all. hormones need to change first. goodluck

If conception occurs, hormones start changing before your period is expected. If there is anticipation or doubt, take the over- the-counter test 24-48 hours after intercourse, however, re-take the test after you think you've missed a period to be sure.

you can take a test before your period... the test is called first response... and you can take it one day after your period... maybe you should use the 1st response.. good luck

there are tests you can buy which can detect the pregnancy hormone before you have your missed period. most people wait til they have missed their period. good luck
