Download and Install Google Earth.
upon launching the software, you will see a globe. At the top left corner type "India" in the search window and hit return.
This will zoom in on India. By moving your cursor to a specfic point, the statistics of Lat, Lon. and Elev. will be listed along the bottom of the screen. Moving the wheel on your mouse will allow easy zooming in and out. Clicking and dragging will reposition the map.
If you are interested in certain points along a given Lat or Lon, I suggest adding a ruler and using it as a line of Lat or Lon positioning it to your desired location.
