Robert Deniro has been very busy:

# First Man (2007) (announced)
# The Winter of Frankie Machine (2007) (announced)
# Microwave Park (2008) (pre-production)
# Heat (2007) (VG) (pre-production) (in negotiations)
# Sugarland (2007) (pre-production)
# What Just Happened? (2007) (filming)
# Stardust (2007) (post-production)

Al Pacino struggled early in his career. It was the 1971 film The Panic in Needle Park, in which he played a heroin addict, that would showcase his talents and bring him to the attention of director Francis Ford Coppola.

# Torch (2007) (announced)
# Heat (2007) (VG) (pre-production)
# Rififi (2007) (pre-production)
# Ocean's Thirteen (2007) (post-production)
# 88 Minutes (2007) (completed)

Of course, my choice would be Al Pacino. He is such a versatile actor and very convincing. As Lt. Col. Frank Slade, in "Scent of a Woman," he was preparing to commit suicide but did not bring it to fruition. What a brilliant retired military man that was blind he played. Look how wild and crazy he was in "Scarface" as the up and coming drugster, Tony Montana. "The Devil's Advocate" and "Recruit" were awesome where he continued to define evil as a bad boy.

Very few actors can pull off such a controversial list of roles and make you believe. Deniro comes in second though.

This is a pretty tough decision to make, but I think that I am going to have to agree with you Al Pacino does have better movies, he is a better actor, and he does have a perfect voice. I still love Robert too.

Peace

Robert de Niro, any day! Al Pacino tends to be stereotyped, no matter how good an actor he may be. Robert de Niro, he can be funny (Analyze This, Meet the Parents), the mafia boss, romantic (Falling in Love with Meryl Street), sensitive and more. And he looks damn good!
