The other day my Animal Behavior Professor was talking about vegetarianism and he was going on and on about how we should all become vegitarians and how it was morally, not biologically, but morally wrong. Hold on. Is this ethics class? No, it's Animal Behavior. He's supposed to be teaching us the behavioral traits and tendencies of animals, not his views on certain subjects. Now I don't care if you're vegitarian or not, but don't you think there is a time and a place for this kind of thing, and a biology class room isn't it? I pay a lot of money to learn this stuff and I shouldn't be getting a lecture on this guys morals. Right?
Sorry that was kind of a rant....

I completely agree.

I don't think anyone in the teaching profession should ever spout off their own views and try to impose it in some way or another on his/her students.

There is a reason you're in the class.
And that's to have an unbiased foundation of the subject.

Good rant. I totally agree with you. And even though an animal behavior class is no place to talk about the ethics of vegetarianism...I'm a philosophy major and I would definitely like to hear what kind of crap your prof is talking about how it is morally wrong to eat meat. I'd say your prof is a dodo.

You are correct sir. You should report his a s s to the school authorities. Don't be a wuss and let him get away with it! Think of all the students yet to come! Go forth and crusade for the good of all!

You are totally right. I truly hate ppl who enforce thier opinions on others. It's alright to say it but but dont push it. You should call him aside and tell him the next he does. He's deviating from what he suppose to do. This shizz aint right.

I agree with you. I hate it when instructors use the time they have to pursue their own agendas instead of sticking to the topic at hand. When they do that they are wasting your time and your money.
