i work in sales. in the front it's ok, a bit messy, but in the back it's just 3 days old food and her dirty coffee cups and everything else that shouldn't be clean....i'm so sick of it....oh one more detail: she is the owner's wife!!!

It's good to clean. It clears your mind, and I think psychologically you feel better in an organized workspace. For your own sake, I'd keep cleaning. Maybe your coworker will take the hint?

Just keep doing it. Even though you're the only one who cleans, and WILL BE the only one who cleans, who goes home feeling good about the work they've done that day? You get the pure satisfaction of knowing that you do better than them on a daily basis, and that if anyone deserves any due promotion or raise, it's you and not them.

You should only clean what you mess up, leave everything that can be traced back to her up to her to clean. Or, better yet, I would suggest that you speak to your co-worker, tell her that you would like a little help cleaning up, she may not realize that she is leaving you with all of the work. If nothing works, go talk to your superior about it.

File a grievance with your employer anonymously. Tell your employer that the mess is distracting and in order to work efficiently, you need your workspace to be organized. Your co-worker should be able to respect that.

Just clean your own space. Anything that spills over from her space goes in the trash,
