A very creative and original comic science fantasy writer. His works keep getting better and better. Just finished re-reading Reaper Man. LOL!
His books are probably too new to be available to read online but he may be part of the pay-per-chapter that some authors are trying. Haven't found anything yet.
PS I buy all mine from 'used' book shops and then take them back and trade them in next time. Keeps the price down, which gives a chance to read more of the dozens he has written.

Don't know of anyplace you can read Pratchett online, but there's always libraries (unless you live somewhere so backwards they won't have Pratchett, in which case I'd consider moving) and used bookstores.
Pratchett is a genius. Even a lot of non-fantasy fans agree to that. He's been compared to Douglas Adams, which isn't really fair to either of them since they are actually quite different in many ways, but they are both comic masters. Diskworld started as decent parody, became brilliant satire and keeps right on evolving until even Terry's not sure what it is now. To get a grasp on just how good Pratchett is, compare diskworld to that other long running supposedly funny and popular fantasy series. Xanth hasn't been particularly good since about book 4 or so and pretty much unreadable to all but the most hardcore fans since the teens, while the most recent Diskworld books are still brilliantly funny and fresh.
And I'd be quite remiss not to mention Good Omens, which may have been a collaboration*, but there's no mistaking that Pratchett is one of the authors.

Extremely funny and intelligent at the same time, like Douglas Adams but with a bit more focus (I like them both). I must have read every book he's written, including the Bromeliad series, but the Discworld books are the best. I find myself sympathizing with Rincewind, and always re-read those books where he's the hero. I have yet to see an animated DVD with him in it, though.
In addition to used bookstores, I share a mini-library with a fellow Pratchett fan, who keeps all the books we buy. That way I only buy about half the books, and we take turns enjoying them all.

Mostly I really enjoy it but I have read one or two that were a bit duff. I particularly loved Equal Rites, Men at Arms, Pyramids and Good Omens. I read one disc world one...........think it was called the Last Continent, that was, well OK but it couldn't really get into it.
