If not, does that take away their legitimacy to the holy land?

They are in no way connected. The Philistines were mostly white Greeks. Modern day Palestinians are mostly Muslims from all over the world. There is no legitimacy in their claim to Israel. Never has been, never will. Sorry. But there you are.

Pretty much, The Palestinians, as a people, have been there for thousands of years and have not left, or been driven out, until Israel came into existence.
I do not see why we should refer to the bible for any legitimacy claims. If you live on a piece of land, it is yours, it is that simple. I'll come up to a Palestinian and tell him, "sorry man, a Jew lived here 2,000 years ago, so I'm just going to take your land and home. Go find somewhere else to live, Hey, those people over there across the border speak your same language, why don't you go live with them?"
That's pretty much the Israeli argument. It doesn't make any sense to me. If an Israel, a Jew, whatever their religion, want to move and live on this piece of land called Palestine, by all means do so, but at least have a little respect for the people that were living there when you got there.
Should we vacate the USA and give it back to the Native Americans? What about Texas? Should we give it back to Mexico? What about western Poland? That was fully German up until 1945?
The list goes on and on if we use that logic.

No........those people are all dead! Oh, you mean are they they same race? Ethnicity? Read about the Crusades, most of those who settled the area were of mixed origins before the Crusades and most of those individuals were obliterated, a
"cleansing" in blood by good Christian and Muslim zealots of the time. Palestine and specifically, Jerusalem, is claimed by Jews, Christians and Muslims, alike, as the most Holy of cities. Referred to as the Kingdom of Heaven, you may wish to see the movie by the same name, if you do not enjoy reading. Realize it is a fictional piece based on a blending of historical facts and Hollywood. Make sure you watch the trailers.

As to the the legitimacy of anyone to any place, does might make right? Is possesion really 9/10Th's of the law. Should The USA give all the land back to native the Americans? Can a people sell, give away, relinquish or lose their birthright, for any reason? That is maybe the bigger question. Would you willingly give back your home to someone who claimed that it had been unfairly taken from their family just 3 generations ago?

No, the ones in the Bible died a long time ago. If they were still alive they would be 2000 years old.

God gave the land to Abraham and his descendents forever.
Genesis 13:14-17

God made a covenant with Abraham and gave land to him and his descendants. The boundaries of the land God gave to Abraham are described.
Genesis 15:18

Sarah bore Abraham a son and God established His covenant with Abraham's son Isaac and his descendents forever. It was not established with Ishmael, another of Abraham's sons.
Genesis 17:18-21

God gave the land to Isaac and his descendents forever.
Genesis 26:1-3

God gave the land to Jacob and his descendents.
Genesis 28:10-13

So the right to the land was given by God to Abraham thru his descendents Isaac and Jacob forever.

I do not believe nothing like "some old jewish relics". I do believe in Greek, Roman ancient relics. The jews are famous "hiding" some "relics" in various places in the Med basin in order to create fake historical facts about their country. Some users have already stated that there were cases like that in Crete and Cyprus. Luckily for us the counterfeiters were arrested and truth was restored. Maybe jews feel envy for the Greeks or the Romans, so yes there was no Jerusalem no wall no nothing. Everything on that land is Roman. They have been digging for 100s of years and they always come up empty handed. Bye bye
