Well, love itself is a risk. When you love, you have to be prepared to get hurt. In getting hurt, you realize that you're actually in love. You won't know love until you get hurt. That's how it is. And when you get hurt, it always takes time to heal. When people are hurting, they always need time to think about what happened or how they will go on after that. If your significant other said that he/she needs time and space, then let her/him have it to figure things out. It always turns out for the best.

Simple, this other person doesnt really feel the same way as you. This doesnt mean this person hates you but just isnt exactly sure about their feeling for you and wants some time to make sure of their feeling or see if it grows much stronger before making a strong committment. You may be going faster then this other person wants to move at. This relationship is at a point that it could go either way; grow into a strong relationship or just remain at friendship level. Dont give up on this other person but give them some time to figure this out. Good luck

Take that time and re evaluate you, her and the relationship, with out the emotional part. How well do you two really get along?
Do you accept each other for who you are ? or is one, wanting to change the other? Are you friends? or just Lovers. Someone needing time, could be for more than you think. if you dint share the same feelings, then that is what it is. When in a relationship that ends, getting hurt is what happens. But it doesn't hurt forever and usually makes us stronger and more aware before we give our selves out to another.

U want her to say that she loves u too right? When she says it, don't u want her to be sure about it? And if she isn't, wouldn't u be better off not hearing it?
Give them time. Very few of us actually have the joy of being loved by the one that we truly love. Wait until u find someone that loves u or until she comes around.
Good luck.

Because True Love Hurts ... Nothing to be ashamed of ... Take the positives from having such an amazing experience and grow from it , take your energy and focus on establishing a new life for yourself.. But always cherish this experience and hold it dear to your soul.
I believe in one true love per person in this lifetime , obviously this is yours ...
allow yourself to take this time to nurture yourself , pamper yourself with a spa day , plan a vacation with friends , volunteer in your community , if you have kids become more involved with them in their daily activities.. Just remember as painful as it hurts you will survive ... Best of Luck !

"i need time" to me just sounds like "next please!"
if someone tells u that they need time, they obviously dont think that you're the right one for them.
you shouldnt have to stick around and wait for this person to fall in love with you. Love won't wait.

it hurts so bad because subconsciously you know that you have been dumped, it just hasn't registered in your conscious mind completely yet

"I need some time to myself"
"I need time to think about my feelings"
" I need space"
are all code for
"I'm finished with you"
