I'm 23, 5'2 and 160lbs. I have been married for 3 years and have a two year old daughter. Ever since before I met my hubby I had an irregular cycle. Had my period every other month or month and a half. After my baby was born i've only had it three in the past two years! I did have pre-ecclamsia and was very puffy and unstable blood pressure, and had an emergency c-sec. We have started to try to have another baby. I've never been on bc or ever taken any supplaments or herbal stuff. I don't have health insurance and can't afford to go to a obgyn, please someone that knows something... my question is:

Can I get preganat and have a healthy pregnancy if i have a very irregular period? Is it safe, and what should I take, over the counter, to help regulate or make me get my period or also to help me know when i'm ovulating?? Please help!!!!

Yes, you could get pregnant and yes you could have a healthy pregnancy. There are free clinics though that will answer all these questions you have and they will do exams to give you better answers than what you get here.
I do not of anything that you can take over the counter to regulate your period and only a Doc would be able to tell your ovulation cycle, mine runs concurrent with my menstrual, but not everyone does. I have the same thing, I can have a regular period for two or three months and then it skips two or three months and I had NO problem getting pregnant.

You can have a safe pregnancy even if your period is not regular. However you may want to take into consideration that if you cant afford insurance or an obgyn how are you going to afford a child????? In my opinion in order to have a healthy and safe pregnancy you need to have regular dr appts with an obgyn to make sure everything is ok with you and the baby.

Please try to get health insurance somehow before you go any further! You can't afford a doctor but during pregnancy you'll want to see a doctor regularly too, especially if you had some problems last time. What if you do get pregnant & need medical help then, if you can't even afford a single visit to the ob-gyn now? Or is there some weird rule in your area/country that it's for free once you are pregnant?

Yes you can still get pregnant and not have regular periods. Since you don't have any type of insurance, why not go to a health clinic, most of them charges based on your income, and its very reasonable. If you are pregnant, you are going to need to go to the dr for regular visits. Also, if you are wanting to know about your ovulations, try an ovulations predictor. Good luck!
