This is silly question. What do you call a person who is Black but lives in America? Is he not an African American? Just because you ancestors are from another country does that mean you are not a citizen of the country you live in? These players live in France. They hold a French passport. They have pride and passion for the country. It doesn't matter the colour of their skin. I'm sure no one cared about what they looked like when the defeated Brazil and Portugal and went on to the finals.
It's 2006 people, if you have a problem with the French team why don't you hop in a time machine and go back to 1862.
Racism is not cute.

All of the players are 100% French citizens, but the real French people are :
Mickaël Landreau
Jérémy Toulalan
François Clerc
Julien Escudé
William "Willy" Sagnol
Philippe Mexès
Franck "Bilal" Ribery
Grégory Coupet
Sébastien Squillaci
Sébastien Frey
Gaël Givet
But I think that it doesn't matter if the players are pure French people or not, what matters is that they must be the French citizens.

yet in reality they were also experienced by France. Benzema and Nasri were no longer experienced by Algeria Diarra wasn't experienced by Mali Ben Arfa wasn't experienced by Tunisia Gomis and Sagna weren't experienced by Senegal Mandanda wasn't experienced by Congo Abidal wasn't experienced by Martinique Gallas wasn't experienced by Guadeloupe They were all experienced by the France football Federation. no one is born with supernatural athletic powers. it truly is our surroundings you stay and practice in that defines you as an athlete. experienced by a French gadget + born in France + communicate French + call France abode = French athlete besides being FRENCH isn't defined by strictly being a organic Frenchman, purely as being AMERICAN isn't defined by strictly being a community Indian. Going by your common sense, the entire NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL and MLS are 100% NON-American athletes, and the US adult males's nationwide football crew has too many English gamers. what percentage American gamers have an English surname? might want to LeBron James be categorised as an African? might want to Brian Ching be categorised as chinese? might want to Peyton Manning be categorised as English? Neither are interior of sight American Indians, yet all 3 are categorised as U.S. electorate and hence U.S. athletes are they no longer?
