I remember seeing that Movie During Christmas as a kid - they used to play it every year on Christmas Day And I loved it - I cant Remember if the movie itself was Themed around Christmas time or not - Does anyone know ???

no the movie is not based around Christmas, but neither is the Wizard of Oz or Heidi or Sound of Music and they were aired at or around Christmas, They are children's films and they were shown back in the 80's before Lifetime, and Hallmark starting turning out dozens of made for TV Christmas movies... I like "Hans Christian Andersen", too.

No, it is a fictional portrayal of Hans life. Perhaps you are thinking of White Christmas?
And I can't wait til I have some kids to watch Danny Kaye movies with, I so love him!

No Hans Chrisyian Anderson is not about Christmas, it is about the man who wrote so many wonderful stoys for children such as Thumbalina, and the Ugly Duckling, as well as many, many more.
They are wondergul stories as was the man who wrote them. You should really do some research about the author, about time and place where he lived.
