spfd.mo.we also have a rev.who has gone to jail for allowing these people to sleep in his church and a store he owns to get them out of 10 degree weather.most of the property surrounding these shelters are owned by members of our city council and they want the homeless out.

Feed the hungry. There must be more to your story about going to jail for feeding the hungry....partial truths are sort of lies. Why don't you clue us in.
There are ALWAYS ways to feed a hungry person. MacDonald's are on nearly every block! Or some such eatery. Carry gift certs but don't give money to people you suspect of being on drugs or alcohol and expect them to buy food. To take them over and buy them something to eat. If a restaurant doesn't want them inside, buy a "to go" order for them.
And why would many of us know your Grandaughter?? Please add some details.

Additional details: I received an email rather blasting me, perhaps I deserved it, however, this situation is unconscionable and should be aired in forums to let the public know that an owner of a restaurant can be jailed for feeding a hungry person in his own restaurant. I wrote back to this gentleman and suggested that he even contact "60 Minutes" or other news media to let the American public know what is going on. I think the name of this town should be added to the details here, as well. I hope this man received my email, it has my personal email address in it as well. However, Yahoo is saying they are having sending problems, so if you don't receive, let me know. I have been on the side of feeding the hungry, as you may read in my original response and apologize if your question was actually well worded.

What country do you live in? This is horrible. How can someone go to jail for being a decent human being?
