Yes, but it's for your own good. I guess you could call it paternal government, or paterocracy, to coin a word.

In order to properly perform their duties as citizens, people must be educated in what those duties are, and how to perform them. This is accomplished in most countries through educational systems, therefore it is of vital importance to the future of the country that their citizens complete their schooling. This also means they get the educational accreditation necessary to get a decent job, which reduces the chance that they'll wind up as yet another drain on the tax coffers.

I don't think so. Encouraging education is a reasonable public policy, and since the government owns the roads, it can put whatever restrictions on their use that it pleases.

im glad this law has come out.
too many lost teenagers out there not knowing how to get descent jobs.

I don't think it is. I see it as added incentive to finish school and become a shining example and successful contributor to society in the future. :-)
