Choosing an eyeshadow color:
The lighter, more pastel shadow will look softer; the darker, more primary shadow will be more dramatic.
Use a sponge-tip applicator lightly apply eyeshadow to the eyelid and under eye area. Then soften and blend away any hard edges.
(Remember, when using color products, it's easier to use less at first and increase, layer by layer, until you get the exact color depth and shade you want.)
For blush:
To apply powder blush is to shake or blow of any excess from you blush first, then sweep it across the cheeks to the temples, forehead and chin brings the face together.
Liquid or cream blush is best applied before powder. That way it blends in easier and with loose powder over it, it look like it's coming from within.

How to apply blush?
Blush warms with the heat of the body to a more intense hue, which is one reason to apply it very sparingly.
Step 1 - First, throw away the brush that comes in the compact; it's too stiff and small to create a natural look. Use a good blush brush.
Step 2 - Grin like a fool into the mirror, to see where the apple of your cheek appears.
Step 3 - Dip your blush brush into the powder, shake off the excess, and brush it lightly over the apple of the cheek, moving toward the ear, with short, up-and-down vertical movements.
Step 4 - Then blend it in with one soft horizontal stroke on top of the vertical strokes, and blot a tissu on top to remove the excess, or cover lightly with powder.
Step 5 - If you're feeling particularly washed out, you can brush a light stroke of blush across your forehead up by your hairline or just above the brows where the sun would hit your face. (But don't overdo it.)
If you use a cream or cheek gel, dap a tiny bit on the apply of each cheek and gently rub it in with your fingers. (It's best to start with too little and layer on more later.) Make sure to blend very, very well. Many makeup artists use a sponge or brush to apply cream blush, as well as foundation and powder to help blend it. Take a tiny bit on the tip of the brush or sponge and stroke upward gently.

How to apply eye shadow? - Eye Makeup
Use 3 colors of eye shadow. You can use more but it is not going to make any big improvement.
Dark: This is applied only to the eyelids from the lashline to the crease in the eyelid.
Medium: This is applied from just below the eyelid crease to the browbone. You can, and some techniques do, shade the entire lid with this medium shade first.
Highlight: This is the lightest of the three and is applied to the browbone and extends a little past the outer end of the eyebrow. This usually gives a pearly finish.
3 Steps for eye shadow application
Step-1. Apply the medium shadow first. Refer to medium described above. Note: When applying any makeup, make sure all edges are feathered so the colors just fade away gradually. You do not want any distinct lines showing where a color starts or stops. Blend, Blend, Blend...This is real important! We also recommend using brushes for all the powdery makeup applications. Those little foam things that come with most make up just don't seem to give the feel and control that a good brush does.
Step-2. Apply the dark shade to the eye lid area. It is best to start in the middle of the eye lid and work out towards the outside, cover the entire lid. Blend the crease area in well. If you have a thin eye shadow brush you might want to try darkening the crease area with a little more dark shadow, just along the crease though......gives a different type of effect.
Step-3. Apply first coat of highlighter to brow bone. There are many other techniques of applying eyeshadow. You may want to research other techniques, as some techniques are better suited for certain facial characteristics.

I don't wear blush, but I can help you with eye shadow. You need two brushes, a big one and a thin one. Apply a lighter shimmery color first, with the larger brush, all over your eyelid. Brush a little on the inside corner of your eye and just past the corner on the outside of your eye. Then use the thin brush to apply a darker color. You can apply just a little on the crease or more. Test and see how much dark you like.

When you apply eyeshadow, you want to put a very light color up just below your eyebrow, this enhances your brow bone. You want to put a darker color on your eyelid, especially in the crease. You can also put a little of the darker color eyeshadow right under your bottom eyelashes(like where you would put eyeliner). When you apply blush, smile, and put it right on the "apple" of your cheeks (the round part) and then brush it back at a little bit of an angle up towards your ear. Blend alot, to soften up the cheek and eye area. Hope this helps and I hope I didn't confuse you.

When it comes to eye shadows remember apply natural earthy colors by day and dark daring colors by night, but finish regardless of day or night with a coat of mascara.
Blush, the simplest way to apply is to smile and apply to the apples of your cheeks.
Rule to live by in the world of make up is Less is More. good luck.

make-up is not a complicated thing to do, it is just up to your own style. A light make-up would be okay for everyone.
A tip you should remember is when you apply dark eyeshadow, you should not color your lip with dark color. For example, you apply green eyeshadow, so your lip color should be pale pink, light orange, or nude color. You do this because if you apply dark eyeshadow and dark lip color, no parts of the face will be attractive. And make-up like that is usually used in play, fashion show, or somekind of drama. And you blush should be light pink or orange.
Make-up is fun.. just have fun with it!!

eyeshadow is pretty tricky....it depends on ur eyez...if u have small eyes u should extend ur application further up to ur brows...but not all the way...it will bring out ur eyez and make them seem bigger....but if u have big eyes u should try to apply small portions on the outer corners...and maybe use a really thin line of eyeliner...it will give ur eyes a cat eye look....u can also go to covergirl.com and they have videos and show u how to find ur perfect shades to go with ur skin and they also have make up application videos!!!! good luck
