one of my friends' is planning to start research and she want to know what is the best topic for research in Social sciences in India.Please suggest

The caste system and how the different religions work in the country. Thats what I would do. Also how many Indians leave to go to school elsewhere then come back once they are established. The whole arranged marriage thing could be interesting.
