My whole adult life has been spent going from job to job and they've all made me miserable. I'm not a whiney person- i'm a hard worker but the overall level of b.s. in the corporate world really stresses me out. I end up quitting jobs then explaining to the next potential employer why i always leave jobs, it's a cycle. Now another temp job has ended and i cannot bring myself to job hunt again! I've spent a month hanging out with friends and crashing couches. It's been a really great time in my life. I can write whenever i want... but i don't want to mooch. How can i earn my own way until i become a successful writer without another stupid job that i'll quit?

i've had "good" jobs if you consider pay and benefits and all that crap... but i was dedicating my life to something i didn't care about, and putting up with a lot of stress along the way

yeah i knew there'd be a lot of miserable people saying things like "who says work is fun?" of course it's not always fun, but it should be enjoyable. It should be something you care about. Yeah and god knows there aren't any successful writers!

Find an easy job. I am a writer and I also work full time and go to college. Writing is not an instant money maker. It is hard work. If I were you, I'd check out a hotel night auditing job. Easy work and lots of free time to write, edit and submit. You have to work, no way to get around that. Check out some free writing workshops and college courses. Good Luck.

Time to think outside the box. You need to leave whatever country you are in and get a cushy job teaching English in either Korea or Taiwan or heck even Thailand, but the pay is crap there. That way you work a mere 25-30 hours a week (more hours are possible, that's just the average) and have loads of free time and a very nice lifestyle. The planning is easy to non-exhistant and barely any take home work. The best part is that there are so many jobs available that once it bores the hell out of you can quit and work on your book till the money runs out and then get another job at another institution and repeat cycle till you finally make it as a writer.

How about getting more schooling? That way you'll have access to better jobs.
