but i hardly know him at all.

Well, I'm not a Christian, and I believe there isn't only one god, and that the gods are more representations of what we believe in than outside entities. They're in our hearts, or rather, they ARE our hearts...They're embodiments of our ideals.
Anyway, I used to believe in God, but he pissed me off, or the Church pissed me off with its narrow-mindedness and now I don't anymore. I see him more as a spoiled child hiding in a closet somewhere, pretending he's Lord and Master of all and that no other gods as he exist. Meaning no offense to any who are Christians, that's just my view of your God.

He is who He says He is. Every promise he has made in His word, He has kept. He is faithful to those who believe He is our Savior.
You could never believe the illogical ways He has shown himself in my life. I was a mess...and still I'm no where near sainthood...but if you let him...he will guide you, love you and accept you right where you are. We are all sinners. He forgives if you ask.
i guess i was kind of assuming you're curious and not yet a believer of all the above. Sorry if that is the case.
Either way, I pray you feel him near you and get to experience His great love.
