NO. YOU SHOULD ALWAYS TRY SOMETHING WITH THE ATTITUDE OF WINNING, NOT WITH THE ATTITUDE TO FAIL.
IF YOU THINK YOU WILL FAIL, TNEN MOST LIKELY YOU WILL.

Yesm there have been things that I have tried, knowing that I very well may fail at it. Why just sit out on the sidelines during life and never try something new? I like to live life and try things atleast once and if I fail, I fail. Atleast I've tried it.

Yeah, I tried to live life once, even though I knew I was going to fail...
No, really.
OK, more on topic, in sports I've taken on teams I knew I would lose to, but then sometimes there is victory because the opponent is not underestimated.

Not exactly for bragging rights, but I was reallllly hopeful - I applied to UC Berkeley's English PhD program, just to see what happens. Of course, I got rejected.

Yes, I love gaining experiences. It makes me feel as though I am living life rather than having life live me.
