Guitars are not expensive - u can go in for a new one - avoid a second hand one as you may land up with a warped one or one in bad condition as people don't normally sell off guitars unless they want to go in for an electric one or a new one if the former is spoilt
- you can go in for a Hobner guitar as they come with a life time guarantee.

You can buy them at any Sardar Flute shop branch or you can go to Furtado at Dhobi Talao, inquire at Rythm House or call up 28888888 for more shops where you get musical instruments.

I got my first electric guitar from my cousin's boyfriend nearly 40 years ago. It cost aboud £5. It had 2 pickups and one of the first things I did was transform it into stereo and fit a pan-pot to each output. I used to get the sound zooming from side to side as I played. Great memories. From what I can make out the second-hand guitar will cost next to nothing. Can you try it out before buying? It may be really naff with a really high action. Or it may have really naff pickups ( I bought a Telecaster, The pickups were rubbish so I replaced them with Humbuckers). If you can't try it better go with the new guitar.
