Male doctors?

Do they usually allow a male doctor to examine a female patient while undressed or is it prohibited on a regular basis?

yes but in america a female nurse must be in attendance if you are naked or if you ask for it even if you arent naked.

If you had a disease in an embarrassing place on your body would you be more disturbed if a doctor of the same sex examined you or if a doctor of the opposite sex examined you?

Being a male doctor, my practice is to examine patients unescorted if I am examining peripheral parts of the body (arms, legs, ears, throat, etc.) but if I need to examine a female's chest or genitals or anus I have a chaperone - a nurse who accompanies me for the examination.

I sometimes have a chaperone for a male rectal examination but it is not my usual practice.

I guess a related question would be:

Yes you can as long as there is a stand-by. Usually it is a female nurse. Like any other job you keep it professional. Don't think it is a lot of fun. When you have to do an exam down there on a female it is usually something you don't want to see and smell.

Don't worry, same as doing exams on a guy.

There are these doctors called gynocologists - and believe it or not, some of them are men. And women see them all the time unescorted. Its rather normal.
