Weel dudethat's pretty wide open. You can pick basically anything that happened in Europe more than a few years ago. One suggestion I would have would be to not pick a HUMONGOUS topic, like World War II. You just can't write about the entire war in a short paper. If WWII was your interest the you could pick a certain campaign or leader or something. Another key to picking a topic is to make an opinion on it. Rather than do a basic summary of the events of a paerson's life, make your topic take a stand. For example, Erwin Rommel was the best general in any army in WWII, or If Hiutler hadn't invaded Russi ethings could have tuirned out very differently. Hope this helps.
