you are the third person this week on y/a who has expressed problems with a ford taurus.
I used to own a taurus. First the radiator went out on me, then the engine (had it rebuilt), then finally the catalytic converter.
Fords...especially the Taurus are just terrible cars. I'm not saying this out of spite...everyone i've spoken to who has ever owned a taurus, has expressed horrible experiences.
Fords truly are:
Fix Or Repar Daily
Found On the Road Dead.

get rid of it, cut you losses and seek a car from a different manufacturer. I suggest Toyota or Hyundai...but that's up to you.

have your Throttle place sensor checked, and that it incredibly is getting the correct volume of gasoline. not sure what style of improve that timing gadget has, in actuality it incredibly is DIS for all i comprehend, so additionally verify the ignition timing, probable have a professional try this as you opt for particular kit, and not for the beginner particularly no count if it incredibly is DIS. I tremendously doubt that it is the mechanical timing, belts, chains and gears have a tendency to pass out much less then maximum folk look to think of... It does ensue on occasion nevertheless. wish this facilitates and robust luck

Your fuel injection system may need to be cleaned. There are products for this that you can buy at any auto part store. Just fill your gas tank and add in this additive. Do this for two tankfuls and then see how your car runs.
