What to get a five year old girl with 50 bucks? Something entertaining and educational, maybe, like Leapster. Barbies and accesories. Dora the Explorer. Tea set. Things that will allow her to use her imagination.
If instead you meant a girlfriend of 5 years, consider a bracelet from Things Remembered with an engraving, or a season of her favorite television show. Tickets to a concert or sports game might be nice, but only if she likes the sport/team/music group.

i dont know if you have one where you are but a gift card to build a bear both my kids loved going and picking out there own little friend and you can get a animal and a outfit to go with it for around $50.00.

Get her an arts and crafts set. There's one where she can make her own bars of soap. Toy's R Us usually sell these.

i got my 5 year old cousin a pajamas outfit with slippers and robe with cute little duckies on them and some toys that helped her with doing math and reading.. she loved it!

try getting barbi dall, some fayaritails books or dvd's. or a board game that all her friends and she can play.

if youve already gotten her something nice like jewelry or electronics, then a gift card to Victorias is good.
