Determine the circumference of a circle with radius 3 in. Give a decimal answer rounded to the nearest hundredth.

circumference = 2 (pi) r

= 2 (22/7)3 inches
= 132/7 inches
= 18 and 6/7 inches
= 18.85 inches

C= Pi x Diameter
Diameter = 2 radius
C= 3.14 x 6
Circumferance = 18.85 inches

C = 2Pi r = 2 x 22/7 x 3 = 18.86 in.

Word the question properly. It should be said .... round to two decimal places .... not nearest hudredth. 'Decimal' and 'nearest hundred' won't go together.

=2X3.142X3 =18.852= 18.900(nearest to hundered)

I guess it is correct because tht is how we do it.
