What I mean to say is, if an owner has clinched a playoff birth and is more confident playing from a lower seed in the playoffs because they think they can beat the top seed in the first week and not the second. Ethically speaking, should that owner throw a game to get the lower seed?

I think ethics go out the window when you talk about these kind of deals with sports.
