Frogs are oviparous (organisms that lay eggs outside their bodies). It doesn't mean that if an organism fertilizes its egg externally then it can just get away having intercourse. Of course not. Everything needs to produce sexually (having a mate and doing the thing) except for plants and unicellular organisms such as bacteria that produces asexually (no need for a mate)

Mating does not nec. mean "intercourse"; when frogs mate the female simply lays the eggs as the male is fertilizing them- well, in most species that I know of, anyway.

Since you ask about frogs, I'll tell you a fact about frogs that you have never heard before. Did you know that frogs hear with their legs?

Shout "jump" at a frog and he jumps. Cut off his legs and shout "jump" at him. He doesn't hear you any more because you cut off his legs, so he won't do what you told him to.
