I am just wondering if anything bad would happen to my skin if I slept with my face mask on.

By face mask I don't mean a plastic Halloween mask. I mean one that tightens pores, etc.

You only need to keep them on for 10 to 20 minutes. There's no reason to sleep with it on. It will come off all over your pillow, anyway.

It really depends what sort of mask you are wanting to use.

Some are totally fine to go to bed with on, others, such as a purifying mask, not a good idea.

Masks do not clog your pores - they remove all impurities & help to keep your skin hydrated.... Just make sure you wash it off real good & use a toner on your face afterwards...

The only thing that causes ingrown hairs is dead skin built up, the hair finds it hard to break through & therefore grows down. This is why it is important to exfoliate your face & body once a week!

Everyone from the age of 16 should have a skin care regime of some kind, because it doesnt matter how old you are.... you are still ageing!!!!

Have fun! :O)

Hmm...It depends. If you trust the mask, I think it's alright. As long as it won't make you breakout or anything. True, you do need to let your pores breathe, and most masks say to leave on a couple of minutes. My roommate sleeps with a mask on, and she has nice skin. Her mask peels off, and I haven't seen it come off at night. I'd be worried it would get all over my pillow.

Remember, geisha's used to sleep with their head wedged between a board so they could only sleep on the back of their head, thusly making it so they wouldn't get wrinkles. It worked too...and, apparently they still do it in Japan. Wearing a mask under the age of 30 is a waste of time because your epidermis needs the ability to breath....wearing a mask will actually cause you to have ingrown hairs and depleted skin from lack of oxygen. be well, Jack
oh, how do i know this? I am a doctor.

It's a very bad idea. Products like that should be used according to the directions. Your pores need to breath and clogging them up all night is the opposite of the results I imagine you wanted, aside from the danger of rubbing it into our eyes while sleeping...

What were you thinking girlfriend?

Probably not bc your pores need to breathe.
