I just had an automatic rebuilt transmission installed on my truck. I had no problems until driving back from Virginia to North carolina. While rolling down the road in overdrive it shifted down into third and I tried putting the brakes on and putting the gas down to shift it back so I just pulled over and manually shifted into overdrive and it kicks in every time since no problems without having to manually shift them. So, if I have a year warranty should I take it back into the shop or was it something like just working itself out? Sorry for the long drawn question

Take it back and let them take a look.

Maybe it overheated, low on fluid, just had a hiccup, whatever.

it would not hurt to have it checked out. at least they will know that there may be a problem on the horizon
