If it is college get a lab top and play solitaire. Thats what I do in Psych.
I still take notes but he likes to go on tirades and I kinda zone out.

sit back... take notes... because who knows when the teacher will ask you to do sumthing....
while im not writing notes.. i write things to do after my class... see how much money i can save in a week... what else can i be doing instead of being in this class... :D

i prefer to draw doodles in boring classes..
it can show my personality, and i can even interpret what's on my friends' mind based on their doodles..
it is much better and fun than being rude by sleeping.. hate those people.. ;p
